Viber for BB7, Viber for BlackBerry, Viber RIM devices

Okay, it may not be the Viber update BlackBerry fans were hoping for (the BlackBerry 10 version was scrapped in the middle of last month), but it’s at least giving legacy BlackBerry users something to be happy about.

Viber has been updated with a number of improvements [via]. Users sporting legacy BlackBerry devices can look forward to the following improvements with the new update:

  • Sending multiple emoticons in the same message
  • Faster message delivery
  • Increased group capacity (up to 100 participants)
  • Twitter integration, allowing photo sharing on Twitter and “Tweet about Viber”
  • Bug fixes and performance improvements

Viber has certainly been pushing out a high number of updates lately for legacy BB users. Late last month, the Bahasa Indonesian language and a number of UI tweaks found its way to BlackBerry OS 5, OS 6, and OS 7 devices, which still make up the massive bulk of BlackBerry users ahead of BlackBerry 10.

Download the new update via BlackBerry World if you haven’t already. Let us know in the comments how it works for you.
