Voxer Walkie-Talkie, Voxer Pro, Voxer Business

Voxer’s push to talk service on Android x86-powered tablets got a pretty decent-sized boost courtesy of a partnership with Voxer and Intel, a partnership which helped to optimize both the consumer and business version of the push-to-talk app on the tablet platform.

With the free Voxer app for Android and Voxer Business app for Android, developed on Intel x86 for tablet devices, users are able to communicate from anywhere in the world in real-time via voice or text with the push of one button.

“Offering our users choices on the types of devices they use to communicate is a driver for Voxer,” said Itamar Kandel, chief revenue officer, Voxer. “Through our partnership with Intel, we further substantiate our commitment to our customers and solving their communications needs. With Voxer’s services now supporting the Intel Android x86 platform, customers are able to utilize our cutting-edge push-to-talk application on mobile devices, including Android tablets.”

Voxer has raised $30 million in funding from investors including Intel Capital. The company recently improved security features for the Voxer Business application and was the recipient of the Best Overall App Award at the first annual Silicon Valley Business Awards.
