WeChat Stickers, WeChat downloads, WeChat messaging

StickerMe isn’t the only one bringing holiday cheer to WeChat as the messaging app has launched three special holiday features that will make connecting with friends this December a lot more fun and festive: flying emoticons, personalized voice greeting cards and free animated stickers.

Holiday stickers help keep everyone in the spirit of the season

WeChat holiday, Tencent WeChat, Messaging StickersNew animated stickers from WeChat can help make chats with your friends all the more festive. Featuring WeChat characters such as Dony the Red-Nosed Reindeer and the Gingerbread Man, the new stickers can add a little surprise to your chats while keeping you close to those you care about.

As you can see above, more WeChat characters join Dony and the Gingerbread Man as well, making for a pretty interesting holiday party for WeChat users. These include the sweet-as-candy Elise, hyperactive Emoticats, Lazy Dog and his friend Cat, Cynical Rabbit, and Nervous Boy, giving your sticker shares plenty of personality to go along with your holiday cheer.

Voice Greetings give messages more personality and more heart

New stickers aren’t the only gifts that WeChat has wrapped up for its users this holiday season. WeChatters can also create and share their own Christmas Voice Cards that give each message much more personality and more heart than a simple text message can.

WeChat frames, holiday messages, Christmas message templatesWeChat users are able to send a full customizable photo greeting card, complete with a frame, to their friends.

Simply send a holiday photo followed by a festive voice message using the Hold to Talk feature to the Singapore WeChat Team’s official account from December 19 onwards, and you’ll receive custom Christmas e-cards to share with friends and family.

WeChat is also planning to release New Years templates on December 26.

Users will be able to send these holiday greetings through January 8, 2014, so you’ll want to make sure you take advantage of the gifts while you can. If you need more friends to send greetings to, be sure to check out our tutorial.

New flying emoticons add a festive air to your WeChat conversations

WeChat emoticons, WeChat news, WeChat friendsFinally, surprise your friends with flying festive emoticons that help bring a little more fun to your chats and also might even surprise your friends.

It’s really quite simple. Just type “Merry Christmas” or “I Miss You” into your WeChat conversation window and sit back and watch flying Christmas trees and sparkles fly through your conversation.

These new features — available on Windows Phone, Android, and iOS — are sure to give WeChat fans plenty of gifts to enjoy this holiday season. If you haven’t already done so, you’ll want to make sure you have the latest version of WeChat downloaded onto your device so you don’t miss out. Happy holidays!
