LINE POP, LINE‘s popular puzzle game for its equally popular gaming platform, has exceeded 40 million downloads globally on January 6, 2014, according to the company.
Characters from five LINE games will appear in player rankings for players to compete against
To commemorate the milestone, LINE has decided to hold a special even that began at 6am (GMT+9) on January 13 and runs up until 6am (GMT+9) on January 20 in which LINE characters from five popular LINE apps — LINE Pokopang, LINE Bubble!, LINE DOZER, LINE WIND runner, and LINE PLAY — will appear on users’ LINE POP ranking. By besting these various characters, LINE players will be able to earn “Rubies, Treasure Keys, POP Coins, and more amazing items” along with additional bonus points and special items after every five plays.
LINE players from all around the world have been invited to partake in this event, which is one of many that LINE has extended to players in the past. Undoubtedly, this trend will continue throughout 2014.
