TextMe, texting apps, free sms messaging

Those of you using TextMe‘s application on Android should find an update waiting for them, boosting the app from version 2.3.20 to version 2.4.4 and adding a few nice enhancements to keep the texting party going on.

Version 2.4.4 adds the ability to use your earned credits to shop for stickers, remove ads, and other in-app content. You’ll also receive notifications when your credit balance increases.

Speaking of notifications, the new update also brings a new notification popup to Android, making it easier to view new messages as they arrive in your message inbox.

TextMe also issued a bug fix that prevented some users from making calls, though it wasn’t clear if this bug affected users based on device or Android OS version. If you still experience some issues with TextMe, let us know in the comments below or post in our new forums.

You can immediately begin enjoying this new update via Google Play.
