Viber for Windows Phone, free world calls, low cost international long distance

After it received a redesign in November, we haven’t seen an update for Viber on Windows Phone, until today, that is.

Today, Viber for Windows Phone received a feature that has been much-demanded by users for awhile now: number blocking.

Viber for Windows Phone version 4.4.0.0 will allow users of the app to block any number they wish, which is good news for any of us who have contacts we’d rather not have contact us again.

You can also expect in-chat notifications when you receive new messages in the new update, along with new emoticons and overall improvements.

Viber recently launch its gaming platform in 5 countries, although it’s currently available only on iOS and Android. There’s no word on when or if the platform will arrive for Windows Phone users, but if it’s anything like past Viber features that have launched on other platforms first, we should see Viber Games arrive over the next few months or so.

Windows Phone users can download the new update via the Windows Phone Store.
