The Tango app for Android will be receiving an update that will bring with it a number of new enhancements and changes. The new update should be hitting devices within the next few days.

According to information we’ve recieved from Tango, the new VoIP and messaging app will be bringing:

  • Continued optimization of the audio, video, and text performance
  • New look to the messaging screens with bigger play buttons for pictures, videos, audio messages and Tango surprises
  • Enhancement to our popular Group Chat features where you can share texts, photos (even albums), videos and Tango Surprises with multiple contacts

We’ve been able to obtain some early screenshots via Flickr of what the new Tango will look like:

You won’t have to wait too long for the update, which should hit first for Android users and then roll out to users of iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch shortly after.

As an Android user, I also agree. Why should WP be left out on all the fun? Besides, my gf has WP and loves it. it would be nice to Tango with her.

Tango still needs to release their app for WP. The market is growing people!

This made me LOL. You speak the truth, sir.

        True that.

There’s a difference, though I’m not noticing a super huge difference. Still got the orange UI and everything.

I like it, though. Tango has a “tropical” look and sound to it.

Awesome but still missing Windows Phone! Don’t get it. They had it for WP 7.5 but not 8?? Come on Tango!

I agree with you Chris. Hopefully we’ll see a Windows Phone 8 version peek over the horizon soon!
