Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Next Version of Android OS, Google Operating System

If you’re a global SIM or VoIP app user who’s sporting a Motorola Xoom and you’re waiting for that Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update that you heard about once before at Google I/O but not since, you’ll be happy to learn that Motorola has reportedly been testing an OTA (over-the-air) Jelly Bean upgrade with Xoom Wi-Fi owners who signed up previously to use the software.

The upgrade has already been seen on the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus, with the Xoom left out until now.

Android Central has acquired what it says is the changelog for the most recent software update that does include Android 4.1.1. There’s of course no telling when or even if this software will be available to the rest of the Xoom crowd, but it’s likely owners of Motorola’s device won’t have to wait long.
