Google Play, Android App Store, Android Market

Google Play is going a similar route that Microsoft did with Windows 8 and Windows Phone. Where your Microsoft account name and photo is posted whenever you post a review, as will be your Google+ name now in the Google Play store.

This isn’t very surprising seeing the recent implementation of Google+ names being posted on YouTube coupled with Google’s attempts to supercharge the Google+ social network any way they can. The addition of Play Store reviews just might force those who might otherwise ignore Google+ to start using it.

As can be seen from the photo below, names on older reviews will appear as “A Google User” until old reviews are updated.

Google Play Reviews, Android App Reviews, Review Android Applications

Overall, this could offer a better experience for users, as it will help with trolling, spamming, and other problems that have plagued Play Store reviews in the past. In addition, it will enable better download recommendations through family and friends.

Go to the Google Play store and check out the new changes for yourself! What do you think?
