Apple iOS Update, iOS, iPad iPhone Updates

Apple has just released the newest version of its mobile OS, which carries the moniker of version 6.1. iOS version 6.1 brings a number of new features and also manages to fix a few bugs in the process.

The update’s primary goal is clearly to enable LTE support for a number of additional carriers across the world. Unfortunately, none of the global carriers can utilize LTE yet. 36 carriers were added in Switzerland, Finland, Italy, Denmark, the Philippines, and other countries. LTE support was also added for 23 iPad carriers worldwide.

In addition, the update also allows movie ticket purchases through Siri and re-adds support for deleting playlists and albums and also re-adds the ability to download individual songs via iCloud.

iOS 6.1 is compatible with iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad (third and fourth generation), iPad mini, iPad 2 and iPod touch (fourth and fifth generation).
