Nimbuzz Messenger for iOS, iPhone VoIP and messaging, iPad VoIP Calling

Nimbuzz Messenger has just rolled out the latest version of its VoIP and messaging app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The latest update carries the version number of 3.0.1 and carries with it some new features and improvements.

The most notable of these improvements is group chat support, which was first rolled out to the Android version last month. Group chat allows users to invite up to 25 of their Nimbuzz friends into a single chat room. Using this new feature might feel a bit on the rough side, but it’s possible that Nimbuzz will update its app UI in the near future to tweak this. The group chat also lets users customize the chat background with wallpapers.

A Twitter tab was also added in the new update, allowing users to chat via tweets to all of their Twitter friends directly through Nimbuzz. It may not be the most unique addition an app can claim, but for longtime Nimbuzz users, it’s a welcome one.

You can download Nimbuzz 3.0.1 via the iTunes app store.
