HTC One, Android Flagship Smartphone, Touchscreen Phones

If you’ve been waiting to get your hands on HTC’s new One Android phone, you may have to wait a little longer than you might have expected (or liked), as it looks like the flagship device could be delayed in a number of markets.

HTC has confirmed that the One will be shipping in late March and early April. If you live in the UK, you may have to wait an additional two weeks according to UK retailer Clove. The retailer had originally planned to sell the smartphone on March 15th, but says HTC delayed the launch to the 29th of March, with a global rollout planned in the latter half of March. The One won’t be shipping when expected in all regions according to HTC.

“We will start fulfilling pre-orders by end [of] March in certain markets and will roll out to more markets as we approach April,” said HTC.

While this doesn’t add much time to the wait, it is nevertheless an unwanted delay, and puts the One in a possible eclipse behind Samsung’s Galaxy S IV flagship being unveiled on March 14th.
