WeChat, WeChat Messaging App, Instant Messages

Not too long ago, WeChat users on Android received an app update that added in the option to invite friends using QR Codes, an update that Windows Phone users have been enjoying for quite some time. That option is now available to users on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.

In addition to the QR Chat invite feature, though, the update also brings Live Chat which allows users to participate in real-time group voice chats. In addition, users are now able to search their respective chat histories for previous parts of a conversation while inside a chat.

It may not be the biggest or most wanted addition to an application that has ever crossed the Apple camp, but the QR invite option certainly helps to make things easier for users to add friends, and we’re always up for whatever is easier.

If you haven’t already, you can download the new version, which carries the numerical moniker of 4.5.0.54, directly from the Apple App store or via iTunes on your PC.
