KakaoTalk App, VoIP for Android, Social Applications

Just a little over 24 hours ago, KakaoTalk for Android was updated to version 3.8.0, which took a swing at some truly annoying bugs and crashes while also removing support for some legacy Android devices. Another update has just rolled out which brings more fixes to the table.

Specifically, the update fixes a problem where the “Enter” key would fail to work while users were sending messages using Bluetooth connected keyboards. With this update resolved, the keyboards should work fine, though we haven’t been able to test this for ourselves.

Another bug fix was a little more troubling: some users’ original photos were deleted when they attempted to send them via the photo gallery after selecting the “Share” button in Kakao. Luckily, this issue has been resolved as well, so your photos should be safe from deletion. Even so, it’s always a good idea to back up your photos on your computer or cloud services to keep them safe, just in case.

The newly-fixed KakaoTalk is now available in Google Play.
