Truphone App, Calling Software, VoIP

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen anything regarding Truphone’s dedicated VoIP application. The last major update the calling app received was back in February when it won cheaper tariffs, an updated user interface, and other tweaks.

Now another major update has come for Truphone users on iOS with version 5.2, bringing the app more in line with the version available for BlackBerry 10; the newest update rolls out high-definition calling over Wi-Fi networks to bring improved voice quality to the masses.

There’s also a new Invite Contacts feature, which (as you can guess) allows users to invite friends to join them on Truphone VoIP so they can take advantage of free Truphone to Truphone calling. Users can also share their locations now, and provide feedback to the development team using the new in-app feedback form using a faster interface.

As per usual, bug fixes are a part of the bargain as well. HD voice can be yours right now by downloading the Truphone app via iTunes.
