BlackBerry, BBM, Messaging apps

If you’ve been waiting for the final release of BBM, you may not have to wait too long, at least if you’re running around with an Apple device. BlackBerry has apparently already submitted the final version of BlackBerry Messenger for iOS to Apple for inclusion into the company’s iTunes app store two weeks ago.

This information was discovered via Twitter:

BlackBerry Messenger has become arguably the biggest asset of the floundering BlackBerry company, which hopes to spin off BBM as a separate company called BBM Inc.

No word yet on the Android version but with the launch of the BBM landing page on the BlackBerry website as well as the recent leak of the app running on video as well as this submission to Apple, it’s probably safe to say it’s not too far behind.
