Bug fixes are one of those evils that developers have to contend with, particularly on the Android side of the spectrum. With quite a list of OS versions to support that isn’t as big a problem on other platforms, it’s often difficult to make sure apps work just right on all devices.
For those running WeChat on Android, you’re the lucky recipients of a new round of bug fixes meant to tackle a few of these issues.
The new version, 5.0.1, fixes the dreaded crash that occurred when viewing Moments in the Portuguese version. As the name implies, Moments is a neat way of capturing photographs that define different moments in your life and sharing them with your friends over the WeChat service.
The new update also fixed a problem that prevented some devices from playing voice messages. Other smaller bug fixes round out the latest version of WeChat, which can be downloaded directly via Google Play.
