Nokia, Lumia 1520, Windows Phone

Nokia Lumia 1520 rumors have been buzzing in the blogosphere for awhile, and it’s only natural that the rumors (and leaks) increase as the release date draws ever closer. We recently heard a rumor that suggested Microsoft’s deal could have delayed the 1520 launch until October, and now Nokia has all but confirmed it.

The Finnish device maker behind the Lumia and Asha handsets has just posted a teaser on its official Twitter account.

The post contained the above image, but little is known about the event itself other than the date on which it is set to occur, clearly seen in the bottom corner. Still, with all the hullabaloo about the Lumia 1520 phablet hitting the internet, it’s almost predictable that this could be it. Or maybe, just maybe, it could be where Nokia may unveil something even more elusive, but also long rumored: A Lumia tablet running Windows. We should find out more about the event between now and then, though. Stay tuned.
