WeChat for WP8, WeChat for Windows Phone, WeChat chatting app

At the beginning of last month, iOS users were given Hold Together, a feature that allow users to add friends who are using Tencent’s WeChat much more easily. Hold Together was pushed to Android devices a few weeks later.

Finally, Hold Together has made its way into the world of Live Tiles as it debuts on Windows Phone with the latest update, version 4.5.2.0. This version packs a bit of an extra punch with additional features included as well.

One of these new features gives WP8 users the ability to chat with friends in a Walkie Talkie session a la Voxer push to talk. In addition, chat histories can now be searched, making it much easier to find that elusive message you sent to your friend awhile ago. You can also double click text messages to view them in full screen mode, which should help give your eyes a little break.

WeChat 4.5.2.0 is now available for download in the Windows Phone Store.
