Viber for Windows Phone 8, WP8 VoIP, Voice over IP app

Viber rolled out an update to its application today that pushed it to version 3.1.1 and added a few notable new features and improvements.

For starters, the new 12MB version, version 3.1, includes support for a spell checker feature, which should help to keep your messages at a high enough quality that would make your high school teacher proud.

More solid backgrounds have also been added to the mix. Backgrounds are new to the Viber application and were added in the last major update to Viber for Windows Phone devices that happened not too long ago in which the user interface received a few tweaks and significantly improved desktop integration was also rolled out. The new backgrounds in the latest version will give users more choice in how they want their Viber app to look.

The overall speed and performance of the application has also been improved, and Viber saw fit to include some bug fixes and improvements as well. Get the latest version of Viber right here and let us know in the comments how you like the new version!
