In an effort to assist Filipinos who wish to stay in contact with loved ones, Viber has gone out of its way to open a “temporary service” that would allow users in the Philippines to call non-Viber phone numbers outside of the Philippines for free.
The company points out that not all countries are supported and of course, your call quality may vary depending on various conditions and connections. It’s highly recommended that you restart your device in order to make sure you’re able to take advantage of the free calls, which can be initiated by selecting any Viber contact and tapping any phone number for that particular contact.
