WhatsApp, iOS 7 apps, WhatsApp Messenger

Okay, so it’s not the kind of release we were hoping it would be, but at least we have more than simply photos and screenshots this time.

Despite the fact that it’s taking longer than previously assumed to be released, there’s no question that the highly anticipated update and its new design is coming, and now we have found a video to prove it.

The video comes from German YouTube channel ITRaidDE, so if you don’t speak German, you won’t be able to understand what the video creator is saying. Still, it’s a great look at what we can expect from the iOS 7 WhatsApp update and the closest thing we have to the real thing at the moment.

Same WhatsApp Messenger, different look and feel

Don’t expect any new innovations here, at least nothing that’s immediately noticeable. It looks like the iOS 7 update is essentially just a facelift and UI change when compared to the version that’s already available for download in the iTunes store. Still, we must admit that the facelift is not a bad thing at all. In fact, it looks really good. The device shown is running iOS 7.1 beta, so the keyboard looks a bit different.

It’s not yet clear how exactly this user was able to obtain access to the app early.

The app looks about complete though, so it’s possible we could see it release sometime in the very near future. Judge the new update for yourself in the embedded video below and let us know what you think of the refresh in the comments!
