Skype for iPad latest update, Skype on Apple iPad, Apple tablet calling and messaging

Apple devices the world over that are running Skype will find a more improved version of the calling and messaging app waiting for them.

Version 4.15 of Skype for iPhone and iPad adds a number of new improvements and fixes as Skype continues to work on making the experience as good as it can be, and one of these improvements includes a much faster startup time. You shouldn’t have to wait nearly as long to start chatting with your friends and family across town or across the world.

The redesigned sign-in screen makes it easier to sign into Skype

Some additional changes in this version include:

  • A redesigned sign-in screen that makes it easier to sign in with a Skype ID or a Microsoft account.
  • A new permissions pop-up for iOS7 to use the microphone for calls and audio or video messages.
  • A link to download Skype WiFi from the App Store. With Skype WiFi you can get online at over 2 million WiFi hotspots worldwide and only pay for the minutes you use with Skype Credit.
  • Additional fixes and performance improvements.

Get the new Skype update here and don’t forget, Skype is also giving away some neat holiday cheer that you may want to take advantage of.
