WhatsApp Messenger, WhatsApp, Whatsapp updates

Hot on the heels of an update for BlackBerry 10 devices comes a very welcome update for users of Apple’s iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, version 2.11.7.

Specifically, those utilizing Apple slabs, smartphones, and mp3 players powered by iOS 4 and iOS 5 should be able to use WhatsApp again without any problems. If you were looking forward to a big update that adds new features, this isn’t it, but don’t worry. At least you can continue to enjoy that newly-released iOS 7 look and feel.

WhatsApp continues to dominate the Apple App Store rankings worldwide, holding off behemoths like BlackBerry Messenger, Viber and Kik. It’s not only Apple devices that are showing this kind of popularity, either. WhatsApp sees more usage on Android devices than either BBM or Facebook’s Messenger app as well. The messaging app currently has a whopping 350 million users worldwide.

Get the latest WhatsApp via iTunes and let us know in the comments if you continue to experience any difficulties with this new release.
