Skype World Calling, Free VoIP Internet Phone Calls, Call International Free

We’re always up for technology and travel so combining the two of them together makes for some really great adventure.

That’s what Skype and Acer are doing with a new contest launched late last week. From July 30 through September 12, you can be a winner in one of five chances to claim an Ace Aspire Switch 10 or possibly even a trip for two to New York City. Even if you don’t win one of the prizes, Skype is also giving everyone who takes on the scavenger hunt some Skype credit.

as long as you participate, you’ll definitely win something

During the contest period, simply add “AcerExplorer1” on Skype to begin your “virtual quest.” Once you do so, you’ll start to receive a series of challenges that “test wit, intellect and creativity.” Some challenges will require adventurers to uncover information online:

The Acer Aspire E 11 laptop is thin and light, so you can tuck it in your bag and have it with you wherever life’s adventures take you. Use Bing Maps to give us the name of the airport at these coordinates, one of Europe’s busiest: 50.050560,8.564420

You’ll also find some that ask you to send information or create content of your own:

The Acer Aspire E 11 has a stylish, smart design. Your assignment: Share your most stylish outfit. Send us a picture of it to complete this challenge.

The Acer Aspire E11 is perfect for work or play. What dream job would make you feel like your work was play?

Regardless of the outcome though, it’s nice to know that as long as you participate, you’ll definitely win something. And hey, who could complain about being able to place some free calls simply by trying?
