WeChat, messaging apps, social networks

WeChat gaming has seen quite a bit of growth so far this year and continues to do so with the recent launches of Candy Crush Saga and Thunder Raid on the platform. However, those won’t be the only games coming to WeChat in the near future.

iDreamSky is a company responsible for localizing international games for the Chinese market and its CFO Jun Zou told Tech in Asia that two more games will come to WeChat this year: Cookie Run and Halfbrick’s hit game Fruit Ninja.

iDreamSky wants to bring China’s mobile games to the rest of the world

Cookie Run is also available on Naver’s LINE app.

In fact, speaking of LINE, iDreamSky wants to bring China’s mobile games to the rest of the world, and is working with the Japanese app to bring Chinese games to the LINE gaming platform.

It’s clear that WeChat is looking to expand itself into the U.S. and other markets in a big way, and it’s not just about games. When you can book a cab or check out fashion trends while using the app, it’s only going to get bigger.

You can experience the games, features, and growth for yourself by downloading WeChat on your phone, and don’t forget to follow our Official Account.
