MTX Connect, global roaming, data roaming SIMs

MTX Connect, a data-only mobile virtual network operator (MVNO), launches its mobile broadband service across Europe without roaming charges to U.S. travelers. This news comes after the company launched Miles & More travel minutes last year.

MTX Connect now provides a pre-paid, data-only SIM card for tablets (including iOS, Android, Windows Mobile) and smartphones, modems for notebooks, etc., which can be used across European borders in 30 countries.

With an MTX Connect SIM card, customers can access unlimited 3G data at a single flat rate and the SIM card is free, never expires and ready for instant activation with any compatible GSM mobile device. Customers can choose from options such as pay by the day – from rates as low as $11 per day – or pay by the megabyte, at rates that are cost competitive compared to local operators in Europe as well as other global carriers that operate in the region.

Global roaming, international roaming, travel sim cards

MTX Connect works with many major Tier 1 mobile carriers in Europe (such as Vodafone, Orange, T-Mobile, Hutchinson 3G and Telefonica). MTX Connect does not offer any additional bundled services or require a contract, and customers are not required to purchase additional hardware to utilize its services.

“Business travelers need unlimited connectivity wherever they are”

“Business travelers need unlimited connectivity wherever they are in Europe without paying high or hidden costs,” said Michael Kornev, managing director of MTX Connect. “To ensure that travelers receive top-tier Internet service, we have agreements with more than 70 mobile carriers. As we expand into new global markets, we expect our service offerings to continue to grow as we offer customers greater flexibility in their data options.”

Customers can now preorder their MTX Connect SIM Cards online and have it delivered to them by mail without cost. These SIM cards can be activated on the MTX Connect website or directly on the mobile device.

MTX Connect’s coverage in Europe includes, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Benelux, Austria, Scandinavia, Spain and Portugal. The company also plans to expand its services offerings into Asia and the Middle East later in 2015.
