LINE Out, LINE premium call, LINE voip

LINE has released version 4.5.0 of its calling and messaging application for Android, which it says “marks a kind of renaissance” for its LINE Premium Call service, now called simply “LINE Out.”

LINE Out lets you make low-cost calls to landlines and mobile phone users who aren’t using the LINE application. Today’s update focuses on ease of use, according to the Japanese company.

A new “Calls” tab has been added alongside other tabs labeled Friends, Chats, Timeline, and More. The Calls tab is where you can take advantage of LINE Out, made even easier once you’ve gone into your Settings and enabled the option to call your LINE friends from profiles — go to Settings then LINE Out Settings, and finally select Call LINE Friends From Profiles to enable the ability to call from friends’ profiles directly. For those who aren’t using LINE you can still use the dial pad within the LINE app or select your contact to make calls even to people who don’t have LINE.

The new and improved LINE can be downloaded via Google Play. No word yet on if and when iOS and Windows Phone users will get this update, but stay tuned to TruTower and we’ll let you know as soon as the information is known.
