Localphone, VoIP Apps for Android, Calling app for iPhone

Remember the Localphone app? We first touched on the calling and texting application way back in March when the app won the award for Best Consumer VoIP at the 2013 ITSPA Awards.

The app’s been a bit quiet as of late, with no mention of any updates or changes on Android at all, until now.

The newest version of Localphone brings the version number up to 2.2.0 and brings just a couple of minor changes and updates to the calling and texting application. If you’re looking for a major overhaul, you won’t find it here in this version.

For those who have been experiencing calling issues on the app, though, you’ll be happy to know that the update contains a new additional Wi-Fi and 3G calling mode for troubleshooting these past issues. Hopefully, this should keep you calling without any problems from now on.

In addition, an issue with importing contacts was fixed, so feel free to invite friends and family to the Localphone app experience to your heart’s content.

The new update can be downloaded right now in Google Play.
