Nimbuzz App, Instant Messaging Application, Free Messages

While Nimbuzz has been busy focusing on its Windows Phone iteration and its iOS version with a pair of major updates for each hitting in the last couple of months, things have been just a little bit quiet on the Android side of the aisle, with the last major update specific to the platform hitting smartphones and tablets in early October.

Search and Share lets Nimbuzzers connect worldwide and plan events with friends

This dry spell is at an end, however, with version 2.6.4, which brings many notable enhancements to devices running Google’s platform, including a new search and share feature, which the company says is “the latest and cutting edge technology” that is rolling out “for the first time in a social messaging platform.” Users on 3G, 4G, or WiFi networks that have their GPS on will be able to take advantage of this new feature that allows Nimbuzzers to plan for a movie, coffee, or meeting with friends or even tell a loved one half way around the world about what they’re doing at their fingertips. While chatting, this feature allows users to search and share places, movies, restaurants and more.

Call logs have also made their debut on the app in the Nimbuzz Dialer, giving users a detailed record of their calling history for the first time. Separate tabs are present for Nimbuzz to Nimbuzz (N2N) and Phone call logs, and Nimbuzz has also made it easier to initiate calls with a single touch.

Bug fixes and improvements round out the list of changes in version 2.6.4, which can be downloaded via Google Play.
