Tru SIM, Truphone App, Voice Over IP (VoIP) Skype alternative

There has been some talk after hearing news of Tru’s BlackBerry 10 VoIP application that the company is thinking of pulling the plug on their SIM service in favor of focusing only on the VoIP side of the business. Thankfully, from what we hear, this is not the case.

The fact is, Tru SIM is a favorable service for business customers and international travelers and will be for quite some time. We, of course, hope (and believe) that it will soon be a viable option for providing more individual consumers with everyday phone service and coverage, but there hasn’t been any information regarding bundle plans, additional countries, or other possibilities yet. Despite this, many of you are using the service almost every single day for your primary phone service.

From what we gather, Tru is indeed looking to grow the SIM network alongside the VoIP network, and despite slow growth on the SIM side over the past couple of years as far as countries and features, things appear to be on the up side. Tru SIM news is expected soon.
